Healing Earth launches pioneering Wine Wellness concept rooted in sustainability, science and African botanical heritage.
PAARL, SOUTH AFRICA, APRIL 2026 – A new chapter in farm wellness has arrived in the Cape Winelands with the opening of Healing Earth Wellness at Laborie Estate, South Africa's first destination spa fully dedicated to vinotherapy. The wellness sanctuary will be unveiled at an exclusive launch event on 16 April 2026.
The Pinotage Story
In 1925, Professor Abraham Izak Perold created Pinotage in Stellenbosch. For nearly a century, this uniquely South African grape has told our story through wine. Now, it tells a new story through skin. Pinotage grapes contain polyphenols and resveratrol, antioxidants 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E. Healing Earth has transformed these compounds into professional spa treatments and high-performance skincare
backed by botanical research.
A Historic Champagne Cellar Transformed
In collaboration, Healing Earth and Laborie Estate have brought to life a spa experience that is both authentic and deeply rooted in heritage — set within the original Champagne cellar dating back to 1976. Designed by Marnus Erasmus from Malherbe Rust Architects, the cellar has been transformed into a holistic wellness sanctuary. Located on historic Laborie Estate, treatment rooms overlook Pinotage vines, connecting the grapes that inspire the treatments with the landscape that nurtures them.

The Launch Celebration
On 16 April 2026, Healing Earth will unveil the wellness sanctuary at an exclusive, invitation-only launch event, welcoming a curated group of media, supporters, valued clients, and partners. Guests will treated to a bespoke experience vineyard walks, sensory rituals, sound healing, wine pairings, and farm-to-table lunch celebrating the earth-to-skin philosophy.
