Destination Spa Manager
This role exists to ensure that a Healing Earth spa operates at the level the brand demands and the guest deserves, every day, without exception.
The Spa Manager is the custodian of the experience. They lead the team, hold the standard, manage the operation, and ensure that every guest interaction — from arrival to departure, reflects the full intention of the Healing Earth ritual.
This is not a back-of-house role. It is a position of genuine leadership, carried with calm authority and deep professional knowledge.
What the role holds
You will be responsible for the full operation of the spa, guest experience, team performance, financial targets, stock management, reporting, health and safety, and the ongoing development of your team's craft. You will set the rhythm of the space, lead by example, and maintain a standard that does not waver under pressure.
You will report to the Director and to Healing Earth Head Office and will be expected to submit accurate monthly reporting no later than the third of each month.
Operationally, you will manage scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance, budget adherence, recruitment, training, and the day-to-day relationship with the property's wider team. Financially, you will understand your KPIs, protect margin, and build the guest journey in a way that supports both experience and revenue, without one ever compromising the other.
You will be the primary point of contact for VIP and VVIP guests. You will handle feedback with grace and resolve challenges before they reach the guest.
Most importantly, you will protect the feeling of the space. You will ensure that every therapist on your team understands not just the protocol, but the philosophy behind it.
What we are looking for
A minimum of five years in a Spa Manager role within a luxury five-star hospitality environment. A qualification in international beauty therapy, ITEC, CIDESCO or SAAHSP, alongside a recognised massage or body therapy diploma. Proficiency in spa management software and Microsoft Office. Fluency in English.
Beyond qualifications: emotional steadiness. The ability to lead people who care about their work. A genuine belief in the standard, not just the system.
You are organised without being rigid. You perform under pressure without losing warmth. You understand that the guest's experience begins the moment they walk through the door, and that your team's state of mind shapes that experience before a single word is spoken.
